Your North Shuswap adventure awaits you.

The North Shuswap is a recreation and vacation paradise that is located on the north side of Shuswap Lake and is accessed by the Squilax-Anglemont Road, just off Highway 1. The North Shuswap stretches from Skwlax to Seymour Arm and includes the communities of Lee Creek, Scotch Creek, Celista, Magna Bay, Anglemont, St. Ives and Seymour Arm. As you wind along this scenic route you will view over 100 kilometres of shoreline that has remained relatively unaffected by large resort development.

This is the Shuswap at its finest.

The North Shuswap hills are home to the most northern grape winery in British Columbia. The North Shuswap Shuswap Lake Provincial Park is a summer destination for many campers and offers sandy beaches and miles of lake to explore. Travel through the North Shuswap’s small communities and discover their own distinct stories, authentic and charming in their quiet rural existence.

An exceptional and distinct part of the North Shuswap is the world renowned Salmon Run. The Tsútswecw (Roderick Haig-Brown) Provincial Park is home to the annual salmon run and this natural cycle is a wonder that must be experienced. Millions of sockeye salmon return each year to spawn and continue the salmon life cycle. The Salute to the Sockeye, which takes place on the dominant year of the four-year cycle (2022, 2026, 2030) has been celebrated by the Indigenous Peoples for many years. In winter, the North Shuswap’s nearby mountainous slopes offer opportunities for snowmobilers and skiers looking for powder. Moderate climate and great terrain make for a mountain playground. Accommodations in the North Shuswap range from RV parks to private cottages, bed & breakfasts, condos and a four-star resort: Talking Rock Resort & Quaaout Lodge.

The North Shuswap is an increasingly popular destination, with many new amenities and developments. Consider this your invitation to experience the natural four season beauty of the North Shuswap!

Alycia Butler

Hi there and thank you for visiting!

My name’s Alycia Butler and it’s a pleasure to virtually meet you! I’ve been a digital media, advertising, sales, and marketing professional for over 20 years now (yikes that ages me!). I live in the tiny little town of Celista, which is a beautiful lakeside community of the North Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada. When I’m not helping businesses and entrepreneurs with their website design or social media needs, I’m exploring the great outdoors with my hubby Dave, our son Hemingway, and our two adopted dogs, Limoo and Cody. I love to go hiking, boating, skiing, snowshoeing, camping (there’s a theme here), really I love to do anything that connects me to nature, oh, and I also LOVE to travel and cook!

I’ve always had a deep passion for genuinely helping people, and wherever life’s ventures have taken me, sales, marketing, and digital media, have always been by my side. I thrive in a work environment that is results driven, dynamic, innovative, collaborative, and of course, fun! I've worked across all Canadian provinces and several cities in the United States; helping in the building of start-up entrepreneurial companies like LocalSphere and WordJack, as well as large,

multi-level, national organizations such as Onni Real Estate Development and Yellow Pages Group. I have worn several business hats (too many to count) over the years, so I can truly relate and empathize with business owners on many perspectives. I’ve built several Squarespace websites, created and implemented numerous social media campaigns, and have helped hundreds of small to medium sized businesses with their marketing needs over the years. You can view all of my past working history here on LinkedIn.

If you need a website but have no idea where to start, or the thought of trusting a stranger with your beloved business scares you — let’s have a chat. I know I can help you.

I’ll outline a clear path of exactly what the process will look like and I promise to make it as easy as possible for you. I want you to feel 100% confident and comfortable with me and the service I provide. You can trust me to bestow guidance and clarity every step of the way. I look forward to connecting with you!

Sincerely,

Alycia
